A Handbag for Tori!

Hi Everyone, Another birthday for this month - but a very special one. Tori is a wonderful friend of ours; and Alyssa and I spent a lovely afternoon making this gorgeous little handbag for her.

These cute little worms peaking out from the flowers are from the new cartridge "Create A Critter".

I forgot to take a photo, but we put a surprise in a little compartment that, when you open the bag, is inside.

We hope you had a fantastic day - Happy Birthday Tori!!!

With luv,
Tereesa.
PS. Only 2 sleeps to go.

Hello Owl Card

Hi - as promised, here are a couple of sweet cards made using the Sentimentals cartridge. This is one of my favourites - a fun and simple design using a mono colour scheme (different shades of one colour with some neutrals added) - and, of course, plenty of glitter.

The "hello" and "heart" are cut out with the scalloped edge (as one cut), allowing the background colour to show through - a fun card design feature on the cartridge.

I love this little guy. The shadow is adhered flat to the card, but the owl and layers are attached with foam dots to add dimension. I have used "chocolate" glitter on the branch (very rich looking), and clear glitter on the flourishes, black rhinestones for his eyes, and a couple of rain dots to finish off.

And..............

Bee Happy Card

The second is another simple design using these gorgeous buzzy bees. I am not usually a "bee" person, but I thought these were really sweet.

All images are cut, layered and shadowed. The hive is embossed with the "Tiny Bubbles" cuttlebug folder.

Isn't this bee cute. I have added Black Opal Kindyglitz on both the hive and bees.

Each image is so gorgeous on its own, it doesn't take much to make it work.

Please contact me if you would like full instructions.
Hope you are all having a wonderful long weekend.
Luv, Tereesa.

Sentimentals Layout

Hi Everyone, Only 7 sleeps to go. This time next week I will have just arrived in Perth. I am flying over for the Scrappy-Go-Lucky workshop on Sunday 2 May, and I am really looking forward to spending the weekend with Mandy, and meeting my friend, Linda..
Tonight I thought I would share with you a layout I did using the Sentimentals cartridge (Storybook and George & Basic Shapes are also used). I made this to honour my husband's Grandmother. She was a wonderful lady who inspired many.

The intricate frame is cut in an olive green with gold accents, with the shadow and layer in black.

As the black looked a little harsh, I inked around the edge in gold on the shadow, and lightly pressed the ink pad on the layer to give an old-fashioned gilded effect.

This beautiful glove is cut from a pearlised cream paper. I cut the layer 4 times and stuck them over each other to give a fine layered effect without using foam dots. A little glitter and pearls to finish off.

This gorgeous ink-pot is cut in burgandy with a black shadow and layer. The beautiful feather quill is cut from white, silver, and black card, with a touch of glitter added.

This lovely sentiment is printed in burgandy on the same cream paper. The shape is from Storybook, and I have inked with a dauber around the edges to soften.

This flower is cut from George & Basic Shapes, using again the same cream paper, and an antique gold. The separate flowers are cut in shadow and silhouette, layered, a touch of glitter added, and finished off with a black and pearl vintage brad.

I finished the layout with some burgandy roses, and some pearls in the corners.

"Grandmothers are just antique little girls"

I will have a couple of cards from the Sentimentals cartridge to show you soon.

Together Forever Card

Hi Everyone, Today I thought I would show you a variation of a card I made for the Lovestruck Dinner For 2. By changing the colours and a couple of other elements, the same design is now a romantic wedding card.

The tag shapes are cut from the "Storybook" cartridge, and then embossed with the "Textile" cuttlebug folder.

The hearts are cut in silhouette from "George & Basic Shapes", embossed with clear powder and sprinkled with glitter while still wet. The side strip is embossed with "Swiss Dots".

The card is then finished off with ribbons and pearls.

My 3 wonderful children all made it into Districts for Cross-Country this week, so I have a busy few days ahead cheering them on. Wish them luck!

Luv, Tereesa.

Guest Artist: Shelley's Nappy Cake

Hi Everyone, Today I have a Guest Artist - the very talented "Addicted to Anything Crafty Shelley". Shelley is holding a baby shower for a friend of hers, and has made this awesome "Nappy Cake" as a centrepiece for the day. One of the games being played is to guess the number of nappies used. Does anyone want to have a try???

Lovestruck Dinner for 2!

Hi, I know it is well past Valentine's Day,  but as there are a few Anniversaries being celebrated in my family, I thought I would show this romantic table-setting I designed for Scrappy-Go-Lucky.

I used clear glass plates over these placemats so the intricate design could be seen underneath.

Serviette Rings -

This beautiful silhouette was cut and adhered to the side of the candle.

A "Gift Box for Her". The heart in the cutout is the same as for the placemats, but it was drawn on acetate using the Cricut Ink Markers, then fixed to the inside of the box.

Pretty in Pink Mailbox - isn't it just too cute!!

A "Love You" card for him - romance isn't just for the ladies.

I finished the table setting with a bouquet of deep red roses.

Please contact me for full instructions and if you would like the Gypsy files.

Happy Anniversary! - You know who you are.

Have a great day,
Luv, Tereesa.

Happy Birthday Vern!!

Hi, April is a busy month for us with birthdays. This card is for my brother-in-law, Vern. He is a keen golfer so I thought this would be appropriate.

Don't you feel sorry for this poor little golf ball!!!!!

Happy Birthday Vern! Hope you had a great day.

Butterfly Explosion Card

Hi, I wanted to share with you one of my favourite cards. This beautiful butterfly is from the Sentimentals cartridge.

The white layer is embossed using Jules Jewels cuttlebug folder, and the small butterflies have been accentuated using diamond glitter.

Isn't this butterfly cut gorgeous? I watercoloured the background with crayons before cutting, and the top layer is heat embossed with clear powder mixed with glitter. Kaiser rhinestones have been used to finish.

The ribbon is then pulled up - expoding into your message.

Please contact me for full instructions.
This is a very simple, but very effective design.
Enjoy,
Luv, Tereesa.

Happy Birthday Judy !!

Today's the day - Happy Birthday Judy. I have been waiting for an excuse to use the Forever Young cartridge, and this presented the perfect opportunity. I used the Kaiser Pennyroyale collection for the background, dress, and flower (same as for the photo box), which kept the theme throughout.

A close-up of the silhouette. The edges were inked in a matching colour to soften.

These flowers are so pretty.

I also made a bouquet of gold roses as a lasting memento.

Click here for full instructions for the roses over at Scrappy-Go-Lucky.

This is the beautiful card Alyssa made. I think it looks wonderful.

Hope you have a great day!
Luv, Tereesa.

Birthday Photo Box

Hi, Hope you all had a happy and safe Easter! We celebrated the very special birthday (we won't tell how young you are) of my wonderful "mum", Judy.

I received one of these photo boxes from Christine for Christmas - thanks Christine. I decided to make one to present Judy's gift in.

These gorgeous flowers are from Dawns Stamping Studio - so easy to make in any size.

Judy can add photos to each section (inside and out) for a lasting keepsake!

Then fold it back up and pop the lid on.

Have a great day!
Luv, Tereesa.
