Mini Album - By The Sea

Hi, This is a matching mini album to the card in my last post. I have used a Gypsy for the welding in this design but the same effect can be achieved with Design Studio.

The papers used in this were are the Alison Ellis Designs Make a Splash set. The corner rounded rectangle for each page is cut from "George & Basic Shapes" and flipped 90 degrees. All other shapes are from "Life Is A Beach".

Using the Gypsy, the umbrella is welded to the front layer. The umbrella and layers are then cut from assorted paper and adhered accordingly to both sides. The shells, thongs and sun have been highlighted using assorted gel pens, and the words "By The Sea" were embossed with clear powder to give a wet effect.

Again using the Gypsy, a dolphin is welded to the left side of the layer, with turtles welded to the right side of the next layer. A set of 3 waves are welded together, then sized, and welded to the top of the following three layers.

Two layers were cut for each animal and then attached to both sides of the pages.

The final page has no waves, and the sun was welded to the top right. Two different layers for the sun were cut and one was adhered to this side.

The last page has the second layer for the sun, with the date written in the middle.

A beautiful memento of Summer Days at the Beach.

Please contact me if you would like full instructions or the Gypsy Files for this design.

Finally - Two very special people in my life started their own blogs during the last week. "Welcome to Blogland" to my beautiful daughter, Alyssa. Alyssa loves spending time in the "Pink Room" working on her creations, so hop on line and see what she's making now - http://www.alyssascardsandmore.blogspot.com/

I would also like to say a big "Welcome to Blogland" to Tracey. Tracey was the winner of the Scrappy-Go-Lucky Cri-Kits competition, and is now also on the Design Team. Make sure you check out her gorgeous creations - http://www.trace-elementz.blogspot.com/

Till next time,
Luv, Tereesa.

  1. Thank you Tereesa, an awesome mini album. I should get out my Gypsy and play with the welding feature some more.
